Daily Scripture: Romans 9:30 KJV
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
The righteousness Of Faith
The mercy and compassion of God is for all children of God. It is not made for no one else than us. it is to do those impossible things in our lives. It is to right off the impossibility in our lives. The Lord is a lovable Father that show us His mighty love when the nature has condemned us. The Lord is a righteous God. He is a Holy Father that want us to follow His way. He is seeking for those people who will listen to Him and obey His word. This is what we are seeing in this scripture. The Lord said, no one is righteous. And no one is seeking to be righteous. The Psalmist did not hide this aspect from us. The Lord makes him to know that no one is righteous. He also missed the score border line of being righteous with God. and yet, the Lord’s counted him to be a man after His own Heart Acts 13:22.
When the Elijah told the Lord that His people has followed the gods of Baal. He told the Lord that they did not listen to him anymore. They have polluted the nation He has created. He told the Lord he was the only one that left. The Lord did not shun him off. The Lord told him that He had kept 7000 people who have not bowed to the idols of Baals 1 King 19:18. This is our God who knows everything and His eyes are watching over every place and things we do.
When the Greeks people came to meet the disciples after the Lazarus was raised up from the death. The disciples was marveled to see the Greeks people coming to seek for Jesus. The Lord was glad to received them. But some supernatural remarkable events took place on these day. The Lord could not hold the word that has been spoken concerning the gentiles from coming to Him.. The Lord said, except a corn of wheat fall onto the ground and die, it abide there alone. But when it die, it brings more fruit. The Lord knows the salvation and redemption for gentiles has come to fulfilled in His life when He saw them. The gentiles were seeking the righteous of the spirit and not of the law. They know who is real and fake. They know their Messiah has come to save their lives. The Lord knew the word of prophet Elijah has to come to pass. The gentiles who was not loved and favoured is now being accepted by the Father.
The Lord makes proverb about the prodigal son in the book of Luke15:11-32 . But when the prodigal son realized his mistakes in life, he came back to his father for forgiveness, and he was pardoned and celebrated. We are all created by God. There is no more difference between Jews and Non Jews. As far we are from Adam and Eve, we belong to the same family root. As far the Lord has come from Jewish by His spirit, we are all Jewish. Either you speak Aramaic, Hebrew, or Arabic, Greek languages, we are all heirs and joint heirs with Christ. He has reconciled us back to the Father. And he who have seen Him has seen the Father John 14:9-11. The Lord said, He will manifest to those that did not seek Him. He will call them to serve Him Isaiah 65:1. The Lord did not do anything more than to fulfilled His word, and sent Peter to Cornelius house. He is a centurion and devoted child of God. The Lord saw him and heard all his prayer that attracted angelic visitation Acts 10:1-5.
The Lord honour His word more than His name Psalm 138:2. He sent Peter to perfect the salvation and redemption promise on these great centurion and his family. Peter was bold to make him known that they did not have anything in common, but He has to obey the word and instructions of God. When he began to speak in the house of centurion, the holy spirit fell upon all off them. He made Peter to believed that God is not a respecter of person Acts 10:34. The power of God came upon them. Peter could not do anything than to declared to them, that they had received the same gift of Holy Ghost just like them. The Lord has made His gift of holy Ghost free for us Acts 10:44-48. He has broken the barrier of who is righteous and unrighteous, circumcision or uncircumcision. He has given us the righteousness of faith in Christ Jesus to all.
Cogitate:
There are few things we must acquire in this scripture:
- The Lord has broken the wall of barrier between godly and ungodly.
- There is no more difference between Greek or Hebrew anymore.
- We are both heirs and joint heirs with the Lord Jesus.
- We are all have equal access to the same throne like they had before.
- There is no one that is righteous more than other.
- We have all become short of glory of God. We have all sinned against God.
- The gift of the holy ghost has been poured upon us all. It does not matter whether you are Non Jews or Jews. The Lord has given us the same gift and blessings to enjoy.
Confession Prayers
- O Lord, help me to walk in your righteousness and holiness, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy spirit, come upon me and incubate my life afresh, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy spirit, illuminate and guide me, in the name of Jesus.
- Power of God, shield and overshadow me,, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, let all the strangers flee from my spirit , and let the holy spirit take control, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy spirit, wash me with the unction that break negative yokes, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, let heaven open, and let the glory of God fall upon me, in the name of Jesus. ,
