11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Seek Your God
The Psalmist said, what will it cost him to pay his sacrifice to God. He knows the important of God in his life. He knows how He took him from the shepherd cattle rearing field boy to the palace, and suddenly became a king of the divine nation. He knows that there was divine connection in his life. That is why you see him dancing nakedly without looking for what human beings may say to him. He knows how he brought the most famous terrorized strongman of philistine, named as Goliath, down with the stone fire of God. He knows how to pray and praise the Lord seven times in a day to thank Him. He appreciated the role and important power of God to accomplished his success in life. He seeks for God in every thin and thick of his life, and he was victorious.
Prophet Moses, knew that without God in his life, he is nothing. He welcomed the divine task He has committed into him which is beyond any humans imagination. He knows that without God in his life, he is nobody. He seeks for God in prayers, fasting, and with the song of praise. He brought the law and commandments of God to His people to obey and followed Him. Joshua declared that he and his family shall serve God forever Joshua 24:15. He knows how God was faithful to him and became the leader of the great nation on the earth. Naomi and Ruth knows that there was God in Israel. Ruth promised she would never back off when the trials and storm of the world attacked her. She stayed with those who knows their God. She did not regretted in serving God of her mother in law. The three Hebrews men knows who is their God, when the trouble besieged them Daniel 3:19-26. They did not doubt or shivering for what the enemies can do to them. The Lord did not either disappointed them. Daniel stood by the word of God and His commandments, and he was victorious in the hands of his antagonists and oppressors. His enemies turned to be the one that filled the trap and captivity they have set against him. Daniel 6:16-28.
It is good to seek the Lord with all your heart to fulfill His promise upon your life. The book of ecclesiasts shout it clearly to us to remember our creator in the days of our youth, so when the difficult time and days come, and we say we have no pleasure in the Lord just as we are seeing today in our lives and environments Ecclesiastes 12:1 . Many people have turned away from the way of the Lord. The have following their own heart desires. They have abandoned the best way which the Lord has provided for them. The word of the Lord said, don’t wait for the day when the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, and the clouds do not return after the rain. And the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened, And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low. Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goes to his long eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets: Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Vanity of vanities, says the preacher; all is vanity Ecclesiastes 12:1-8.
Do not run away from your God. There is no way you can hide from serving Him. It is your time to seek and find your God. The time is too short to waste on worldly fleshy things. The Apostle thoughts there is gain for them if they followed and served the Lord their God. When they asked the Lord about their inheritance in Him, He did not shun or damned them. He told them what the Lord God has written concerning their destiny in heaven. And they were glad to followed Him and worked with Him until they died and be with Him. It is your time to seek for your God and recover your lost destiny from Him. Don’t let it be too late. Go for Him now.
Cogitate:
There are few things we must acquire in this scripture:
- Seek your God when you are young and follow His way for your life.
- Do not follow the wayward of the world, and lose your place with your God,
- Join the family of God, and fellowship with them in their assembly.
- Do not follow your perishable desire. Seek for the imperishable way of the Lord.
- Imitate the people you have heard their names in serving God, and follow the pattern of their lives.
- Commit your path to the Lord and He shall direct your foot step to possess your possession.
- Don’t lose your eternal life for the earthly treasure, where the thieves can break in and steal. Keep your treasure in heaven where it is safe and your affairs of life will be eternally secure to control this earth.
Prayer
- Say it and confess it loud, I surrender my life and give everything in my destiny to you, O Lord, in the name Jesus.
- Mention your name and say it loud and clear, I will never serve and bow to worship any other gods before my God, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord help me to walk in your righteous and holiness, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, My Father, My Father, break me and remould my destiny as clay in the hands of potter, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, My Father, My Father, let the power of the holy ghost fill me and break every yoke in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah, let the power from the highest overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Angels of the Lord, arise, and watch over my life and family forever, in the name of Jesus.
