14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
We Are Too Human
The word of God said to be carnally minded is death, and to be spiritually minded is life and peace Romans 8:6. Do we live in the last word of the Lord as a creation of ? I will say the truth to us, we all have sinned and become short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 . We have failed God in every position He has place us to serve Him. The people that was find grace after the fallen of Adam and Eve could not attained to the maximum apex the Lord has designed for them. From Adam to all generations that following him, there was no one that born through woman that could fulfilled the Lord mandate for their lives. They all made mistakes in one way or the other. The Lord could not withheld the best part of His life as a Messiahs by asking the Pharisees whoever has convicted Him of any sin John 8:46? They were all shut up because He has what it takes to convict them and put them in bondage. They quickly answered Him and changed their evil perpetration toward Him. And they never questioned Him again. The purpose of their clandestine agenda was destroyed and over blown to their faces.
Moses could not fulfilled his destiny because of the carnal minded that was warring against his destiny. The Lord ensured that he was penalized for disobedience to His instructions. King David was anointed, but he could not accomplished and fulfilled his purpose as king, because of the carnal sin that brought him down. He became slave to sin. The flesh destroyed him. He is in heaven with grace and mercy of our God. Our body is the temple of God where sin must not dwell and polluted. Apostle Paul who is the writer of this book and scripture, knew what it takes to be sold under sin. He has been there and know what it entails to be carnally minded person. He has been serving the custom of his father as a spiritual person. But the day he met the Lord on his way to Damascus and his associated fellow members persecuting the children of God and killed them Acts 9:5-9. He did not know there is any other power anywhere than what he has been made to know. He did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with the elders he worked with as Pharisee. But when he met the Lord on that Good day and received the power of God. his life never remained the same again. He know what it takes to be spiritual minded in the Lord.
Our body is the temple of God where the Holy spirit dwell. The Lord made it purposely from the beginning as the chamber place to be holy and clean from every contamination. When Adam and Eve contaminated it, the Lord did not cleaned it up for them but cursed them. The same things applicable to us if we misused our body after we have been baptized in the holy ghost, the Lord will depart from us. We may not function like we supposed to be. We must preserve our body for the use of God. The book of 1Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19, 2 Corinthians 6:14-16, Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple. Do not destroy the temple. You have been bought with expensive price of the blood of Jesus. The Lord wants us to join our body with Him. Whatever who we join our body with will take control of it. If you joined it with prostitute, you will automatically become one with her. This is the reason, the Lord warned us to flee from sexual sin.
Let us run away from our carnal lives and put on the life of holiness and righteousness of God. Do not allow the carnal life to ruin your heavenly home. Treasure your heavenly place assigned for you. Heaven is real. Shun every appearance of sin and use your body to promote holiness and righteousness of God. Don’t let us set our mind on the things of the flesh, but on the spiritual things.
Cogitate:
There are few things we must acquire in this scripture:
- You must put on the spirit of God always.
- To be carnally minded is death, and to be spiritually minded is life and peace. let the life and peace of God reign in your life.
- You must obey the law and commandments of God to live a holy life.
- You must preserve your body to be use for God. Do not contaminate your body with sin.
- You must refrain from anything that will jeopardize your future life.
- Sin is a destroyer and killer of good things. You must learn from all the examples that has been given to us in the holy book of God.
- Let the commandment and law of God serve as a lamp and light to your lives.
Prayer
- My Father, My Father, My Father, clean every sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, My Father, My Father, kill every flesh in my life for sin, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, My Father, My Father, destroy every sin seducer assigned against my life and progress, In the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, Power of resurrection, Holy Ghost fire, clear and purge every sin reigning in my body, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, Power of resurrection, purge and cleanse me from every inherited sin of my parents, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, Power of resurrection, Holy Ghost fire, kill every strongman assigned for sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Angelic army of God, arise, release me from every captivity of slavery of sin, in the name of Jesus.
